The Len Nibaldi Award

Prior to the 2022/2023 season, the committee agreed to acknowledge the player who took the most wickets for the season across all the grades. The recipient would receive the Len Nibaldi Award, named after club bowling legend, Len Nibaldi, who has taken 785 wickets at an average of 17.5, over 41 years of service and bowling 5,084.4 overs.

As the award was only created in time for the 2022/2023 season, our club statistician, Leigh Gunn is madly reviewing the club record books to go back in time and acknowledge historic recipients. Starting with the modern history books that are readily accessible online and date back to 2001, followed by our foundation years as the St. Leonards Cricket Club, 1960 through to 1972.
