The Chris Green Award

Prior to the 2022/2023 season, the committee agreed to acknowledge the player who made the most runs for the season across all the grades. The recipient would receive the Chris Green Award, named after club run record holder, Chris Green, who will continue to play senior cricket in season 2023/2024 as he looks to add to his 12,330 runs and improve on the 36.2 average.

As the award was only created in time for the 2022/2023 season, our club statistician, Leigh Gunn is madly reviewing the club record books to go back in time and acknowledge historic recipients. Starting with the modern history books that are readily accessible online and date back to 2001, followed by our foundation years as the St. Leonards Cricket Club, 1960 through to 1972.
